I'm using the MacBook Pro 2023 14 inch model with the latest OS version (Ventura 13.2.1). The laptop is unable to detect the Wi-Fi 6 Ghz band even though it supports 6E (802.11ax). I'm attaching the router configurations in my deco app and network setting on my laptop. Please help me resolve this. Thank you.

I haven't noticed that Apple has released Wi-Fi 6E models yet. Thanks again for the notificationlaugh.

 

Hi, Abhi, I noticed you are located in India. I googled whether 6Ghz is allowed in India. Most of the results are negative. So I think it is very likely that 6Ghz is still not allowed in India.

Hi, 802.11ax is Wi-Fi 6 and the laptop needs to support WiFi 6E to be able to see the 6Ghz. So far, Apple does not have a model that is WiFi 6E compatible.

  @David-TP Hi David, thank for your reply. According to the Apple's official website the current apple device that I'm using is compatible with Wi-fi 6E. Please refer to the wireless network specs as follows (taken from Apple's official website):

Wireless

Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax)5

Bluetooth

  • Bluetooth 5.3

Take a look at Apple Tech Support article HT213433 with the title "Use Wi-Fi 6E networks with Apple devices." See if scenario described there applies to your Deco mesh configuration.
