EAP 773 performance issue
Hello,
I've bought and installed an EAP 773, connected to my internet box, in order to replace a previously working but old WAP.
The EAP773 works perfectly, but the performance progressively decrease, and after a few days it is super slow. In such situation the wifi of my internet box is perfectly fine, thus the problem is on the EAP or the connection with the box. If I restart the EAP, it gets back to normal speed, at least for a few days.
I'm not using Omada cloud, just a direct configuration.
Long time user of TP Link products, I'm really disappointed. What could I do to investigate?
Thanks

Hi @jfloviou
To understand the issue clearly, please kindly share the following information:
1. What's the normal speed after the EAP reboot?
2. What's the speed from the internet box?
3. How low is the speed when the EAP decreases after several days of usage?
4. Around how many clients are there in the network?
5. What's the firmware version of the EAP?

@Vincent-TP Hello, and thanks for your answer.
1. What's the normal speed after the EAP reboot?
Sadly I do not see anywhere where I could find these Stats in the TPLink interface. It would be a nice feature. But with an online test I reach easily > 100Mb/s to the internet (up&down)
2. What's the speed from the internet box?
It's fiber connection, thus super fast >> 100Mb/s
3. How low is the speed when the EAP decreases after several days of usage?
I will launch a test (if I can) at next occurence, but it is super slow: displaying a simple page like google news could take > 1min.
4. Around how many clients are there in the network?
Around 5.
5. What's the firmware version of the EAP?
1.0.14 Build 20240801 Rel. 78844(4555)
It was happening with 1.0.13, but the upgrade to 1.0.14 did not correct the issue.
Overall, I think the admin interface should bring more diagnosis and statistics.
Thanks for your help

@Vincent-TP I seem to have the same issue. Was working ok but now gets so slow. 92Mb/s download upload 384Mb/s wired gets 980+ both ways. I did a reboot of the POE switch to reboot the AP only gets to about 192 then goes slower. Just started happening in the past week or so.

Hi @cabana
Around how many wireless clients are there in the network?
When the speed is slow, is the speed from the main router normal?
Will restarting the EAP fix the issue?
How did you power on the EAP?

@cabana
On my side, after a few weeks, with reboots everytime the AP was getting slow, it never came back. I don't know why...
