eap620 vlan tagging
After some advice / user experience, after buying Deco X10 units for my home to replace an EAP225 set-up, as the TP-Link site says they support vlans but neglects to mention that they don't in AP mode. The WiFi coverage is great though.
I'm looking for an alternative solution and the EAP620 looks to give me the WiFi6 and coverage of the Decos but as it an Omada product I assume like my old eap225 unit I used to have it would also work in:
1) a 2 unit roaming setup to cover my whole house and replicate the Decos coverage and performance (I can install and run the Omada controller software, or may treat myself to a hardware controller).
2) supports tagged vlans and multiple SSIDs, allowing a vlan isolated guest and IOT network, via trunking the untagged main network and these 2 additional networks with tagging.
3) while I can sort the controller can this also be configured at the device like on the eap225, or are you forced to use the Omada controller. As do not want yet another cloud solution where I'm dependent on a 3rd party such as TP-Link to access my solution.
Any user confirmation that this is possible would be appreciated, as the description on the tp-link website due to the above does not fill me with confidence.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Paul
