SD-WAN and USB modem with ER605 v2

I haven't tried the 2.3.0 firmware yet, but I have a related question. Is it possible to use/setup SD-WAN only with a USB LTE modem connected? I know VPNs can't use USB, so I'm wondering if it's the same with SD-WAN or not. I'd be happy if it was possible, the USB modem is ideal for my current needs, but the lack of a VPN option is the only drawback it has for me.
Thanks.

Hi,
I can't test it yes since my other TP-Links (ER707 and ER706) don't have an official update for SD-WAN yet...
I can choose my LAB ER605 device which use USB modem as the only source of Internet in SD-WAN config wizard, but can't confirm if it will actually work.
Once my other devices get the fw upgrade, I can try to proceed with test configuration :)
Cheers

USB WAN can be used for the SD-WAN.
LTE WAN can support SD-WAN.

Thank you, it seems promising. I can buy some cheap LTE router, put it i to bridge mode and connect to Wan port of Er605, but using USB modem is a lot easier.

Just tested and I can't choose USB WAN Port on my LAB ER605 for SD-WAN :(
Am I doing something wrong?

Google Chrome as well as MS Edge gives the same result.
I have USB WAN only on my LAB Device. I can enable RJ45 WAN port but there's nothing connected to it.
The ER707 is on 1.3.0 BETA fw
The ER605 is on 2.3.0 BETA fw.
The controller is on 5.15.20.20

Bad news. Team confirmed that the LTE supports SD-WAN. Not the USB WAN.
