Plenty of topics about that, all closed, some with promises to change that in new hardware or software releases.
 

How long will MAC filtering affect the Guest network on TP-Link routers?

Where should customers ask to change this function? Otherwise, what sense is there in a Guest network if I can't set it up differently frim the main home network?

Generally speaking, advanced functions mainly work on devices on the main network.

May I know what is the model number and hardware version of your router? 

How to find the model number of your TP-Link device 

How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device

 

Access Control or Wireless MAC Filtering is used to block or allow specific client devices to access your network based on a list of blocked devices (Blacklist) or a list of allowed devices (Whitelist).
The function name might be different on different router models, please follow the steps below to set them up:
    1. For Access Control, you may log in to the router's web management interface, go to Advanced > Security > Access Control to configure Whitelist or Blacklist. You could also refer to this FAQ for more details: How to configure Access Control.
    2. For Wireless MAC Filtering, you may log in to the router's web management interface, go to Wireless > Wireless MAC Filtering to configure Filtering Rules. You could also refer to this FAQ for more details: How to configure Wireless MAC Filtering.
