the Adapter disconnects and reconnects when joining a network multiple times,5GHz shows “No Internet

Hello,
I’m having serious issues with my Archer TX20U Plus adapter. Every time I try to connect to a Wi-Fi network, the adapter disconnects and reconnects multiple times before finally staying connected.
Even worse, when I try to connect to a 5GHz network, it connects but shows “No Internet”, even though the same network works perfectly fine on my phone and other devices.
I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, switching USB ports, and changing adapter settings — but nothing helped.
Is there a fix for this? Or is this just a faulty product?
Thanks

Hi,
Some computers have difficulties with the USB 3.0 mode of these Wi-Fi adapters.
What you can try is to force the Archer TX20U Plus to stay in USB 2.0 mode and then check if the problems go away or not.
To do that right-click the wireless adapter in the Device Manager, select "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab and then set the USB Switch Mode as shown in the picture below.

Yes, in USB 2.0 mode your upload/download speeds will be limited to the speed USB 2.0 can provide.
Anyway, if the Archer TX20U Plus cannot work stable in USB 3.0 mode when used with your computer, then either use it in USB 2.0 mode or see if you can still return it and exchange it for another model that works better with your computer.
