Hi@NetChris113,

Thank you for contacting our community.

We have released a pre-release firmware of Archer GE800, it is recommended that you can update to this firmware to see if the issue can be resolved. Please click here.

If the issue persists, please tell me which connection is unstable? WAN connection or wireless connection?

Please try the following suggestions depending on your situation:

For WAN connection unstable:
    1) When the internet drops, connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.
    2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.
    3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8
How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?
    4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?

For wireless connection unstable:
    1) Make sure the Router is properly placed, it should be put in an open area instead of inside a cabinet or shelf.
    2) Change the wireless channel into another one. You may refer to
Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router (new logo).
    3) Change channel to avoid interference. For 2.4GHz wireless client devices, adjust 2.4GHz channel width into 20MHz, for 5G wireless client devices, adjust 5GHz channel width into 80MHz or 40MHz,etc.

Best Regards~

  @Joseph-TP
Hello
I am back for an update. This router is unfortunally imo undercooked. The disconnect, the fan can't keep the heat out and shut itself of and setting small changing setting that makes it disconnect (ex putting a wifi schedule makes it disconncet from the internet). It's been hell with this router. I got some help got it back going and so far it is stable, but need some proper cooler (like a laptop cooler stand) to help it keeping cool. I will not put it this solved until it is stable.

Kind regards
Kristoffer
