Hi,

I have a (35W budget, 5 ports ) TP-Link TL-SG105PE switch  conneted to 2 X50 PoE and I just purchased one X50 Outdoor that I want to connect with a wired LAN connection to the switch too.

Question 1: Will I have enough power with the 35W provided by the switch?

Question 2: In case I want to further extend the range with a wired connection, is it advisable to have it connected to the second port of the X50 Outdoor (daisy chain)?

Question 3: I understand that you guys are reluctant to give exact data on range, but can you give a ballpark of what is expected in an unobstructed environment (no walls, no trees, direct line of sight with target area) having positioned the point of access ~15 ft above ground?

Thanks

Hi, for Deco X50-POE, based on the datasheet, the Power Consumption is

For X50-outdoor, the power consumption is

So TL-SG105PE is not good enough for 2*Deco X50-POE+1*Deco X50-Outdoor.

The POE budget needs to be over 45W. TL-SG1008P might be a good choice: https://www.tp-link.com/en/business-networking/soho-switch-unmanaged/tl-sg1008p/v7/

The second port of the X50-out can't provide power for the connected device. It only works for a normal non-POE device, like a computer.

For Deco X50-Outdoor, its advertised WiFi coverage is 2500 square feet per single pack. The covering radius is ~28ft from the Deco X50-outdoor.

(A WiFi radiation pattern, when visualized, can often resemble an ellipsoid or a distorted sphere)

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
