Wifi access control is not working as expected

I recently started using wifi access control to block unknown device from connecting the wifi. I set the wifi access control to allow list mode and added my iPad MAC address to the allow list. However I found that when I configured the iPad private wifi address from "off" to "fixed" or "rotating", the iPad is still able to connect to the WiFi with the changed wifi MAC address. How this happened? Thanks

Hi, welcome to the community.
Have you checked under "Fixed/Rotating" Private WLAN address, whether the displayed MAC address here is the same as the MAC address you added to the Deco APP?
I tested on my side. When I switch from "Off" to "fixed", then "Rotating", the MAC address used on the iPhone is always the same one; Then I forget and reconnect to the WiFi again, the used MAC address changes this time.
So I think if you want to test whether "Allow List" works or not, you might need to restart the iPhone or disconnect/reconnect to the WiFi, or restart Deco once to force the iPhone to start a new network session.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Thanks for your reply.
i confirmed that the MAC address is changed when the iPad wifi profile switched to fixed or rotating. I can also see the connected clients from Deco which the new MAC address device is connected. So is it software bug with the wifi access control?

Hi, thanks for the update.
It is likely to be. Can you consistently reproduce this issue with your iPad?
Do you know about the OS and model of the iPad?
By the way, apart from the iPad, do you have any other Apple devices?
- If yes, do they have a similar issue?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

yes. I can reproduced the issue with 2iphones and another iPad. When the device set to use fixed or rotating MAC address, I can see the device show in Deco online clients with new MAC address. If I click on this device in the app, the information show the client is blocked. However, the device itself is accessing the internet without blocked.
