Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.3.0

Hello TP-Link Team,

I am facing an issue with my ER605 (v2.0, firmware 2.3.0) in Omada Controller.

Previously, I had USB (LTE) + WAN1 enabled. Recently, I changed the configuration and set it to WAN1 + WAN2 (disabled USB and enabled WAN2 for backup).

After making this change, the ER605 appears as "Disconnected" in the Omada Controller, but:

  • Internet is still working.

  • SD-WAN features are also working fine.

  • I can access the router locally via Web GUI (using its IP).

  • I also tested via Omada Discovery Utility v5.2.4, but no device was found.

However, in the local Web GUI there is no option to reboot or force sync the device with the Omada Controller.

👉 Suggestion: It would be very useful if TP-Link can add a “Reboot” or “Force Sync” option in the local Web GUI, so that when such issues occur, admins don’t need to physically reboot the device.

Please let me know if this is a bug, or if I need to adjust any additional settings to make the ER605 reconnect to the Controller after changing WAN/USB configuration.

Thank you.

After trying a reboot, the issue was not resolved.

I then performed a reset and reconfigured it by setting the InformURL, and that solved the problem.

Hi  @Babun-Sikder

Thank you for your feedback.  This is not a known bug or sth like that. I would more likely call this an accident.

Some changes can occasionally lead to unexpected issues like this. Pinpointing the exact cause can be challenging in these situations.

It would be very useful if TP-Link can add a “Reboot” or “Force Sync” option in the local Web GUI, so that when such issues occur, admins don’t need to physically reboot the device.

>>>May I askif this is fixed by rebooting the router?

In the meantime, you may cast your vote for the following feature request:

Feature Request (For All Omada Devices):

It would be very useful if the TP-Link Omada Team could add options like “Reboot”, “Force Sync/Provision”, and the ability to set the InformURL directly in the

local Web GUI on all Omada devices (Routers, APs, Switches).

Currently, once a device is adopted by the Omada Controller, administrators are unable to change these settings locally. This becomes a problem when the device loses connection with the controller or has an incorrect InformURL, as the only workaround is to physically reboot or reset the device.

Having these options available in the local Web GUI would allow admins to quickly recover devices without on-site intervention, making troubleshooting and management far more efficient.
