Tapo Google home link 404 error
Hi, after configuring the hub in the Tapo app ok, I try to link my Google home.
The first steps are ok, but the last step when you select to allow Google to access your tapo device in the tapo popup, the redirection ends with a 404 http error.
So it's impossible to link Google home.
Is the problem known and will be fixed ?
Thanks.

@sparkDance Thank you I forced Google home update 4.0.53.2 (thought it was latest version before). And now it works 👍
Didn't need to reinstall.

@dquag I have the same problem, Cannot add service Tapo to Google Home
Error: 404 the requested url was not found on this server
I get the same error whether I attempt the link from the Google Home app or from the Tapo app
Android 11
Google Home ver 4.0.53.2
Tapo App ver 3.14.116

@dquag I checked that I had the most recent versions of Tapo and Google Home apps.
Google Home ver 4.0.53.2
Tapo App ver 3.14.116
I duplicated the problem on a different phone / Google Home installation. I then discussed the problem with TP-Link technical support. They proposed deleting and reinstalling Google Home. The authorisation then worked.

@dquag I already have the latest version of Google Home, and yet, I still get the 404 error... Is Tp-Link having an issue with Google?

At which step did you encounter this error message? Please ensure your Tapo devices' remote control still functions normally -- whether they can be controlled with Tapo app remotely (e.g. when using celluar data).

@Wayne-TP Having the same Error 404-problem, even after reinstalling the Google Home-App, including reboot. Pixel 8, Android 16. The tapo-app itself works.

Exactly the same with me:
- Tapo app works fine when access from either same LAN as Google Home (GH) or from mobile network.
- GH had already been updated to latest 4.0.53.2.
- Tried to link to Tapo. All steps succeeded except last, ie the return to Google Home. Error 404.
- Forced stop execution of GH. Open GH, try link to Tapo, etc... Error 404.
- Deleted and reinstalled GH. Open GH, try to link to Tapo, etc... Error 404
I did notice an extraordinarily long URL when trying to return to GH, like HUGE. Don't know if that's significant. In any event linking Tapo app to Google Home is currently broken. No known workaround.
