I was very happy with my TPL Archer, but since I want to get rid of my expensive fixed landline, I purchased the TL-MR6500v v2.0 (00000001) with the idea of using my Gigaset AS690A base via the MR6500’s RJ11 port. I need the calls to be accessible from the different rooms in the office, but there’s no need for a switchboard.

 

I’ve configured the telephony settings with VoLTE enabled. My SIM card is from Iliad, and they confirmed that VoLTE is supported on my plan/SIM in Italy. According to the operator maps 4G and 5G is available in the area. I’ve also verified that the MR6500v firmware is up to date. 

 

That’s weird — I haven’t seen anything like this on the forum crying : I can receive calls, phone ring but the volume is very low and almost impossible to hear. When I try to make outgoing calls, I always get a busy tone.

 

Could you please advise on how to fix this issue or if there are any additional settings I should check?

Please check whether you have tested the following suggestions:

  • Factory reset the handset once.
  • Increase volume to the highest level.
  • Switch the "Network Mode" on the MR6500V from "4G only" to "3G only" to see whether it made any difference
