I have encountered some issues with the smart doorbell over the past few months as below:

While checking on the doorbells, I find that frequently the devices are set to privacy mode by themselves, which is a concern to me as I would like to keep track of when people walk outside my unit.

Also, I encountered the issue where the detection zones changed from gaps in between to overlapping. The former arrangement is more sensitive than the latter.

In addition, there are also times that the sensitivity is reduced from 10 to 6 by itself. I then have to manually restore the sensitivity back to 10.

Did you use the Home/Away mode feature? This feature allows users to configure two sets of detection settings for their cameras or doorbell. With just a simple click, you can switch on (privacy mode off, alarm on, etc) all the cameras while you're leaving home. How to edit Home/Away Mode of my cameras This feature is the most likely reason that could be contributing to this issue. It’s also worth checking if anyone with access to your TP-Link account — such as on a family phone or another tablet — might have used this feature.

Also, remember that automations can control your camera’s privacy mode. To be sure, check your Tapo app, as well as any connected third-party platforms like Alexa or Google Home, for existing automation rules

About the detection zones, can you further explain?
