Hi,

Since few weeks my Deco BE85 has started to block several sites. Examples are big newspapers, TV-sites and banks.

After turning off IPv6, and most other options that could cause this, and several restarts, some sites have started to work. But others get blocked.

The possibility to manually allow certain sites is gone with the new app.

 

From what I understand this is a well known issue with BE-models? And only solution is a new firmware.

Please comment on what the solution could be, and if there is a new firmware coming.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Were you having the same issue on different mobile devices when connecting to Deco WiFi?

Have you also tried changing the IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 to see whether it helps:

It seems like you had the Deco BE85 for a while. If the website blocking started a few days ago, have there been any changes recently, like an internet service maintenance, firmware upgrade, or system reconfiguration?

 

Would there be any error notice when these websites failed to be accessed?

  • the domains of the websites that you can no longer access.

Hi,

Yes, the issue was for all devises connecting via my Deco. 

But with the change of IPv4 and a restart all sites now work. Thanks.

 

If I run into issues again I will email screen shots.
