Model: Tapo C410 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

hi! i have installed a C410KIT - wifi works well battery operates and charges from solar panel. the problem is with the night vision. i used infrared night vision and it does not turn on automatically. if i get into the camera, turn on the spotlight and than off, it will start working properly and IR leds remain on. otherwise it is just strange picture. there is no lights around which could block IR night vision to switch on (and this is proven by the fact that IR stays on after manually triggering the LED lights of the camera on and off) please advise is this a HW issue or a SW bug? this is the newest FW.

  @TBuse

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this problem on TP-Link community.

For this issue, can you try to place the camera in a room that is completely dark, then check if the night mode will switch on automatically.

Have you tried to factory reset the camera? How to Factory Reset Your Tapo Camera: Two Methods

Note: all the settings and the local recordings will be reset as well after factory resetting the camera.

If the issue still cannot be resolved, please provide a screenshot of the live view page where night vision cannot be switched. We need to check whether ambient light conditions are affecting the camera’s ability to switch night vision modes.

Best Regards,
