Hello everyone,

i'm new in this community, i'm using SDN Omada Controller since three years, i never had problems. But today after upgrading all my devices, now the VLAN not working. When i try to connect a Wireless network (specific SSID associated to VLAN) i can't get a configuration IP from DHCP, even when i try to connect a port with a selected network profile associated to VLAN.

The main network works, then if i select the profile "All", i can get a configuration ip and i can navigate. But when i choose a profile associated a specific VLAN, the problems come.

My configuration:

Router TL-ER7206 v1.0 Firmware 1.3.0
Switch B1 TL-SG2008P v1.0 Firmware 1.0.8
Switch N1 TL-SG2008P v3.0 Firmware 3.0.5
Switch P1 TL-SG2008P v1.0 Firmware 1.0.8
AP P1 EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 Firmware 5.1.0
AP R1 EAP225-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 Firmware 5.1.0
AP I1 EAP225(EU) v3.0 Firmware 5.1.0

Networks:

Net1 192.168.1.x/24 (main) VLAN 1

Net2 192.168.2.x/24 VLAN 2

Net3 192.168.3.x/24 VLAN 2

Wireless:

Net1 Without VLAN

Net2 VLAN 2

Net3 VLAN 3

Wired Problem:

If i try to configure a port of switches B1 and P1, the problem occurs. For example i set the port 3 of B1 with profile Net2, i can't get a configuration IP, even if a try to set it manually i can't communicate with for example gateway.

But if i try in switch N1, (version hardware different) always works properly.

Wireless Problem:

If i try to connect a Net2 wireless (VLAN 2 associated), i can't get a configuration ip. All AP are connected a port with selected the profile "All"

the strange thing is that until yesterday everything worked, after I did the update they stopped working

Anyone have advice? Can I downgrade devices? It's risky?

Thanks in advance

Hi

please consider the following

1) profile LAN/ALL should always be VLAN1, VLAN1 should be your management VLAN, so pls try NOT to use it for byod devices or WiFi on AP

2) just disconnect ALL the switches and connect one of them and try to get it work, then second one, only if the first worked.

3) did you mark ALL the ports to new LAN profiles??

  @Samsci98

are you certain that there is no change on your switches and profiles at all?

anyone else has access to it?

so, I am wondering which switch is your main switch?

if all works, that means vlan works. literally, the 802.1q vlan function is not dead. it's your config.

it would be helpful you post your config here and your network diagram. then can quickly find the problem for you.

  @Tedd404

Switch P are the main, but Switch P1 and Switch N1 are linked to rounter.

Only me, I have access to the system

Switch N1 have only wired clients works well (TL-SG2008P v3.0 Firmware 3.0.5)

Router:

Port2 (WAN) connected to ISP

Port3 (Link Port Switch P1 8) PVID 1

Port4 (Link Port Switch N1 6) PVID 1

Switch P1 TL-SG2008P v1.0 Firmware 1.0.8:

Port1 (Link to EAP225-Outdoor(EU) ) Profile selected: All (the default that i can't edit it)

Port2 (Link to EAP225-Outdoor(EU)) Profile selected: All

Port3 (Link to EAP225(EU)) Profile selected: All

Port4 (Link to device Net2) Profile selected: Net2 (created when i created the network) This port not working well, i can't get a configuration ip

-

Port7 (Link to Switch B1 Port 8) Profile selected: All

Port8 (Link to Router Port 3) Profile selected: All

The others are not liked

Switch N1 TL-SG2008P v3.0 Firmware 3.0.5:

Port1 (Link to device Net3) Profile selected: Net3 (Working well, maybe hardware ver.3 ?)

Port2 (Link to device Net3) Profile selected: Net3

Port3 (Link to device Net3) Profile selected: Net3

Port4 (Link to device Net3) Profile selected: Net3

Port5 (Link to device Net2) Profile selected: Net2 (Working well)

Port6 (Link to Router Port 4) profile selected: All

Switch B1 TL-SG2008P v1.0 Firmware 1.0.8:

Port 1 (Link to device Net2) Profile selected: Net2 (Not working)

Port 8 (Link to Switch P1 Port7) Profile selected: All

Then in Switch N1 the profile in port works well but in Switch B1 e P1 not. (it is the same profile)

In the wireless network, Works only the main network Net (no vlan), but Net2 (Vlan 2) and Net3 (vlan 3) i can't get a ip configuration.

I you need more info let me know

Thanks!!

Hi @Samsci98,

We noticed that you have problems with our VLAN after the recent update.

Do you enable daylight time on your device?

If yes, please disable it and config it again. After this, your VLAN should be working again.
