Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.04

Hello all,

Question about the new switch

We use a Hirschmann L3 swictch to set all the networks and VLAN.

Now for a small part we need 10GB connectivity.

So we have setup 2  TL-SX3206HPP   connected with 10GBSFP+ between the building.

To manage them we use a special managemt VLAN  (102) from where all the switches and routers are managed.

1 port form 1 TL-SX3206HPP  is connected to the "main switch".

When my laptop is in the iprange and connected to the managemnt VLAN is can connect.  But in the office not.
The reason for this is that i can not set the gateway IP in the TL-SX3206HPP    The gateway IP 10.11.102.11  can not be set
We managed to set the Switch IP to VLan 102     But where is the gateway entry ?????

Where is the gateway option ??

@10GBswitch To add default gateway, just add an static route with destination 0.0.0.0/0 and with your gateway ip. This will be the default route

Hi @10GBswitch

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Not sure about your need. Information is scattered. Where is this "office" coming from?? I am in total confusion.

To your question:

They are under the same subnet. There is no need to set up the gateway IP.

The reason why you can access this subnet is because you put the correct subnet. If you put an incorrect subnet, you will fail the access.

  @10GBswitch

Thx for the replay

We have a central Layer 3 who does the routing from all v-lan

So we can acces all switches from lets say the office network.

The gateway for our managment lan is 10.11.101.11

All other switches have something like this below, thisswitch is reachable from the office network in anaorher vlan
