VR400 only brodcasting on 5ghz ..no 2.4ghz broadcast

I got my new VR400 yesterday...plugged it in and went through set up..all was fine until i noticed it was not broadcasting on 2.4ghz...only 5ghz. I looked at the settings and both channels are enabled...reset it etc but no luck.
BOTH channels are definitely ely set to broadcast and both are enabled in the settings but only 5ghz working.
