Model: HS210
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.6

I changed my plan for an HS210 kit and decided to use one of the switches on its own for a front porch light. I hooked it all up perfectly, as far as I thought, and the porch light is on and I was able to get my single HS210 switch on wifi and firmware update it, but i can't turn the light off. It's basically on 24/7.

If I press the switch itself nothing happens.

If I hit the power icon in the app I hear the switch make a click sound but the light stays on, doesn't even flicker. The power icon in the app goes off for about 3 seconds then turns back on so it doesn't want to stay off there either.

Does anyone have any ideas?

From the current situation, it seems that there is something wrong about the physical installation.

Below are the setup instruction:

https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/HS210-KIT.html#video

https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2009.html

Meanwhile, the pictures of physical installation will be much better.

Thanks for the links and the inspiration. I wish I'd had that when we wired the unit up, much better than using YouTube.

I rewired it and put the load on the traveler and that fixed it up, working great now!

It appears you only need to use one of the HS210 switches on a 3 way circuit to make it work. ... AndroidDev01Giveaway Correspondent; Sgt-JimmyRustlesCan't flim ... I am thinking I can hook up the hot wire to the line screw and then .... When I turn the HS210 on I hear a click but the lights dont come on.

Hello

The HS210KIT can work with the ordinary three-way switch, while please notice that we need connect only one HS210 to Line wire and the ordinary three-way switch to Load wire.

Good day.

@ctrl77 Have you solved the porch light problem?

You should have a white Neutral wire connected.

Here is a drawing of the switch. (attached)
