Model: TD-W9970
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version:

I want to configure the device as an access point on my existing network.  I have given it its own ip on the network, put it in wireless router mode and disabled DHCP but it does not work.  Is such a configuration possible?

Hi,

Below is the setup video you can refer to :

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/td-w9970/#video

Meanwhile, please notice that the IP address changed should be the same subnet as the main router's one. And DHCP server should be disabled.

May it help and have a nice day.
