Hi All,
It's recommended to kindly read the below thread. It's obviously a limitation on the client-side due to lacking support of the 802.11r roaming protocol.

Hi,
Is there any error message if xiaomi camera failed to conect to Deco?
What about other devices? Can they connect to the Deco?
Meanwhile, it is suggested to disable 5GHz network on Deco app to give it a go.
Besides, try to disable fast roaming and setup QoS as standard/clear high priority devices to check whether it works.
Any updates, just let us know.
Good day.

Thank you for answer .
No specific error message from the camera , time out message only.
No problem with other devices such as air conditioners , phones , comps, TV etc.
I was try to desable 5GHz - w/o results.
In additional , was open guest network with 2.4GHz only - w/o results.
Disable fast roaming and setup QoS - I will try it today .

Hi,
Any update on your case? Is the camera working fine now?
Basically, if you change a new network for your camera, there should be a reconfiguration needs to be done on your camera like reset and start over. You may need to consult this from xiaomi support and ask if they can help you to switch the network on your camera.
Since the Deco network is working fine with other devices, that means deco is working properly. And if you have any suggestion from xiaomi support about any settings on deco wifi, please feel free to let us know and we will try to help with that. And you may need to tell us the model of your xiaomi so that we will know more details about how the camera running with a wifi network.
Good day!

disable the fast roaming would make the xiaomi 1080p cam works, but it is hard to believe it is the cause since I had the old 720p one as well and it works with fast roaming

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that you figured it out first.
Regarding to the fast roaming, it is more related to the camera itself. sometimes, the new device miss some feature than the old ones.
Cause the camera can connect to the Deco's network, you can use it to monitor or surveillance.
Good day.

What is the model number of the Xiaomi Camera?
Any error message pops up if you failed to join it?
Try to enable guest network and verify whether it can join the network.
Good day.
