Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.8

Hey,

Can someone tell if it's possible to use a PoE adapter, like the TL-POE 4824G on a node?

Or maybe I can use the seperate set adapter and splitter?

I use the Deco's all 3 as acces point, behind my router.

THX

Hi,

Sorry to tell you that the Deco M9 plus does not support PoE power supply.

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/deco/deco-m9-plus/#specifications

It can be powered on via the external power supply only.

May it help and have a nice day.

Hi,

It is impossible to use PoE switch or PoE splitter to power it up, the Deco M9 plus does not support PoE function. The ethernet port is a pure ethernet port, not power over ethernet.

Good day.

Hi Kevin. I know. it's only Lan.

So thats why I 've bought a extra SPLITTER. That means that de splitter splits the Lan and Power to the Deco's Lanport and Powerport. (12V and Gb Lan)

And I hooked it up at the PoE Switch.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

There is a QIG you can refer to:

https://static.tp-link.com/2018/201804/20180420/7106507762_TL-POE150S10R_QIG.pdf

I guess you want to use the PoE splitter only, while for our TP-Link PoE splitter, the Non-PoE device should not be more than 12W, and you can give it a go with the PoE switch or PoE splitter, but we cannot ensure the performance.

And the original external power supply is still recommended.

Good day.

And I've tested it. It works great. Together with TPLink PoE switch and TPlink Splitter.

Hi,

I'm considering also using a POE splitter for one of my M9+'s.

I have a question for you:  what cable did you use from the splitter to the M9 unit?

Thanks.

Thanks - but I mean as the power cable - from the splitter to the Deco.
