Hi, sorry to tell you that the Deco does not support static routes feature.

Hi Kevin_Z,

Thank you for your reply.

Is the “static routing” feature in your developing plan for future release?

Hi,

As far as I know, there is no plan, while we will forward this request to our R&D team and they will work on it and evaluate the feasibility.

You can keep an eye on our official website for updates.

Have a nice day.

@Kevin_Z Any update on this? I am due to be taking delivery of a new TP-Link Deco S4 (3-pack) from Amazon, but if I can't set Static Routing I'll be sending it straight back.

@King_Ming

Hello,

Currently, there are not any plans to eventually have the Static Routing feature. This will be forwarded as a feature request to our developers for consideration.

BTW, may I know in what scenario do you need this Static Routing feature? Please provide more details, which will be of a lot of help when evaluating whether or not adding new features on the Deco device.

Thank you for your feedback.

@Kevin_Z

See an example here of why a static route is necessary.  The Deco M5 is not suitable for any advanced use cases without it, including certain VPN  scenarios.

@Mls

I also need this static route functionality.

Why?

I would like my wifi devices to take advantage of your parental controls while still being able to navigate my wired network which runs on a different subnet.  This causes all my wifi devices to not be able to connect to my Sonos devices or printer unless I switch to bride mode.  Bridge mode of course removes some of the great work you have been doing on additional features.

@Kevin_Z for me, i use smart dns proxy to enable me to get usa catalog on netflix. applying only dns server provided by smart dns proxy provided doesnt work and must use static routing. i may need to return the X20 set and get me other Mesh routers that support static routing.
