flash TD-W8970 to TD-W9980

Hi,

Apparently there is a way to flash my TD-W8970 with the TD-W9980 Hw firmware ... is it true ? and where can i download that firmware..

Actually, the answer is NO.

The firmware need match its model and hardware version.
