Model: Archer MR200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6.0.0.9.1 v004a.0 Build 18/12/19 rel.54042n

Every now and then the router freezes (with a few weeks between one block and another).
All the connected systems cannot be reached by external networks (home automation, alarm, heating control, cameras, etc.)
and even locally there's the problem of not being able to connect in wifi.
These 2 problems occur at the same time, so I exclude both a problem of the SIM, since even the wifi does not allow the connection, and anyway recently I changed the mobile operator, but the problem has remained unchanged.
It also had this problem with previous versions of the current firmware.The only way to restore the service is to restart the device, after I returned home.
The problem is that it often happens when I am away from home for business or vacation and then I can not use any of the services until I come back.
How can I make a correct diagnosis?
Is there a log that I can consult to detect the type of error after I have done the restart of the device?
Is there a way to program an automatic restart? (it is not a solution, but at least I reduce the problem).
Thank you

@annejanz

Hi, please tell us your issue in detail.

If it is unstable issue, please check if both the wired and wireless connection are unstable.

How do you recover the internet? By rebooting or automatically?

How often the issue happens? How about the lights' status on the device?

Please check if the SIM card is working well when it is plugged into a phone.

If so, please send us the below screenshots for us to check.

When the router works well, please log in to the web UI of the MR200 and show us a screenshot of the advanced-status page to check.

When the issue happens, please log in to the web UI of the MR200 and show us a screenshot of the advanced-status page and basic-network map as the comparison.

May I know your region and when you bought the device?

BTW, please confirm the hardware version and firmware version of the device.

Look forward to your reply.

Have a nice day!

Edit in 2020/7/30: If you guys have the same issue, please tell us the issue in detail and provide the above information for us to check.

@ElwoodBlues

The MR200 does not support auto reboot now, while we can do some troubleshooting first and try to fix it.

What is the light status of the MR200 when it freezes?

With computer connected to it, please check its IP and gateway by this instruction when the router stops working.

At the same time, please login to the web UI of the MR200 and show us a screenshot of the status page and go to system tools-system log to save log and send it to us.

To do a comparison analysis, with the sim card put into the cellphone directly, does it work properly?

Meanwhile, you can click here to create a profile on MR200 manually to give it a go.

the router froze again, while I was on vacation, of course :)

Light status is as showed in the attachment.

While it was possible to connect to the router (it also replied correctly to ping command) It wasn't possible to log in, I tried via wifi and via eth cable (see attachment).

Once connected to router lan, it was impossible to have access to Internet.

I extracted the SIM from the router and inserted it in the smartphone, the connection was functioning, then I inserted the SIM in the router again, but nothing changed.

I was forced, as usual, to reboot the router to be able to log in.

The only available logs before the reboot were of notice, informations and debug type.

I notice that the year is strange (1970):

Logs after reboot have the correct date.

I think i need to request the router replacement, but I don't know how to do it because the seller company doesn't exist anymore.

I'll be glad to find another solution, of course, also because I would like a quick solution without shipping costs to be borne by me.

@ElwoodBlues

Thanks for your reply.

From the current situation, the LAN and wireless connection both are unstable, and the firmware is the latest one.

It is suggested to contact our tech support to verify whether the replacement is qualified.

Best regards.

@ElwoodBlues

You can give them a call or email them again to push them forward.

In the meantime, you can contact the retailer to verify whether you can get a replacement from them directly, it will be more convenient and quicker.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z Hello,

I think I have the same problem as the other person here. Archer MR200 - updated firmware - dropping connection several times daily and reebooting is necessary.

System log shows following sample information:

1    2020-05-05 17:27:14    DHCPD    Notice    Send ACK to 192.168.1.103
2    2020-05-05 17:27:14    DHCPD    Notice    Recv REQUEST from 04:54:53:06:1B:A5
3    2020-05-05 17:27:13    DHCPD    Notice    Send OFFER with ip 192.168.1.103
4    2020-05-05 17:27:13    DHCPD    Notice    Recv DISCOVER from 04:54:53:06:1B:A5
5    2020-05-05 17:24:00    DHCPD    Notice    Send ACK to 192.168.1.101
6    2020-05-05 17:24:00    DHCPD    Notice    Recv REQUEST from D0:81:7A:BA:9C:58
7    2020-05-05 17:23:59    DHCPD    Notice    Send OFFER with ip 192.168.1.101
8    2020-05-05 17:23:59    DHCPD    Notice    Recv DISCOVER from D0:81:7A:BA:9C:58

....

It is happenning since couple of months now and I thought it might be a network provider problem, but I tried this sim card with my phone and other routers and everyting seems to be fine...

Therefore I will be glad for your support in finding solution for this problem.

@Kevin_Z Many people, if not all, with the v1 or V2 router have this problem. I bought mine a year ago and had this problem from the beginning. Please create firmware to fix this. Thanks.

@Pavo

Hi, for the issue that the MR200 is unstable, please help confirm the below information.
