Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello everyone,

I have 9pieces of Deco M5 inside of a house. After a new firmware arrived, I checked the map of my Deco M5 (how they're connected to each other) and notices, that some Decos bypassed 1 or 2 decos on their way and connected to the main Deco through wi-fi. There are 1 or 2 Decos between them, but they decided to connect to the Deco (main) which is far away from them.

I wonder why they choose to connect to him, when closer Decos avaialble ? Also would be great, if we can manually choose which Deco to connect to what Deco.

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is suggested to refer to this link and install the beta firmware to manually select the signal source on Deco M5.

@Boriy

The Deco choose the front-end device to connect automatically, which cannot selected manually. While for the feature to choose the specific Deco to connect, we will note that and feed back.

For the device name issue, we have noticed that and reminded our R&d team; they are working on it.

You can keep an eye on official website or Deco app for more updates.

Best regards.

Thank you for explanation @Kevin_Z

Time by time Decos jumping from each other (connecting to different one). But we do not touch Deco and don't move them around. They have fixed place. I hope it can also be fixed.

@Boriy

Thanks for your reply and clarification.

Per I said before, the  slave Deco choose the front-end device to connect automatically, which cannot selected manually now. While we have noted that and reminded our R&D team to plan to add the feature which can fix the front-end device in the next firmware.

Best regards.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for reply.

Also please, can we make it in real time ?

I believe it refresh every 10 seconds or so. Would be great to have it refreshing in real-time, so we can see actual speed

@Boriy

I think it is more related to the browser settings.

Theoretically, once you opened the web UI, it shows up the real-time rate. Without refreshing the browser, it may not change or delay.

Best regards.

I tried in latest version of Safari & Chrome. It refresh every 7-8 seconds.

Would be great, to have it real-time. I think it's something, that most people would apprecaite it.
