MR600 - problem seeing received sms messages
I can't see my recieved sms messages in the admininistration interface even though everything else works fine.
I can see that I have recieved messages both on the Basic overview page as well as looking at the number of pages that should be availible in the Advanced->SMS->Inbox page (it displays that there are 2 pages of incoming messages but the list is completely empty). See my attached screenshots.
The Outbox and Drafts pages work fine though and display the correct messages supposed to be there as well as the correct number of pages. Also sending SMS messages from the router to my phone get throgh perfeclty fine.
In the Advanced->System tools->System Log I can see that I really recieve SMS messages. It displays for example: "USER: Receive a new gw sms and save it successfully." It also displays "ERROR: New sms count is 13."
So it seems to be some kind of bug concering just the Inbox page which is quite annoying since I need to see SMS messages to see what my provides tells me about my 4G usage status/tariffs etc.
Please advice.
Best regards,
M

Did you do a factory reset? I had to do that after the beta firmware update, before I could see the messages again

great bit of detective software work. A bit beyond my capability to attempt, but, thankfully, the very latest Beta firmware has fixed the problem again after a factory re-set.
Of Course, you lose all the old SMS messages which were listed but could not be read, but new messages are again readable.... for the time being

The latest firmware upgrade from @Kevin_Z worked for me, but only after a factory reset for the device. I had taken screen shots of all my amending settings, so pretty straightforward to do. So far all new messages are readable, with old messages disappearing like last time. I am hoping the upgrade keeps working longer than the last time

As said in my previous message yes I did it.
After factory reset all works fine, until I receive any sms with unicode character present in the text of the message or in the sender.

I have the same problem. Once again, it you be nice if TP-Link could once and for all raise this with the dev team, get the firmware through QA, qualify it (instead of asking end-users to do the testing for you) and release it properly.
That's what you'd espect from a reputable company.

Voxar, I use firefox and I absolutely don't understand how to do the manipulation !? I opened the debugger but I don't know what to do next and how !? I also have the same problem and I don't want to use beta firmware !! and if I did I would like to be able to read the SMS before !! the maj seems to erase them ..... it would indeed be desirable for TpLink to react and update their firmware !!! nb: if we put the sim in a phone, is it possible to see the SMS? Thank you

We have reached out to our RD team, if the SMS messages still cannot be read after you installed the beta firmware, you can install the one attached below to give it a go.
Then you need hard reset the MR600 manually and take some time to test whether it works.
Any updates, be free to let us know.
Meanwhile, we have reminded our RD colleagues, but the ETA for official firmware is unsure. We will keep working on it, anything new, we will keep you posted.
Good day.

Hi
if the previous upgrade worked and let me read SMS messages, should I leave it; or would it be worth trying the new upgrade on this message, to test it for you?
