@Solla-topee Same problem here, after a power cut or if the main router reboots the 8630P gives out DHCP addresses and causes the entire network to crash,
The lease ties it gives sare too long so even when the router comes back up non of the clietns work again until they are rebooted
How do I turn this stupid "feature" off on the 8630P ?

@Solla-topee -- No further "testing" is going to fix something that clearly does NOT work,
I have definitely waited too long for you guys to even react.
My TP-Link powerline items are shelved.
If TP-Link fails to publish a new firmware that disables the DHCP kludge by May 31, '21, they will be dumped.
Regretfully,
D.

I have the same problem too.
I work from home and I do lose connection in the middle of something important because your design is totally flawed.
Nothing whatsoever wrong with my router or anything else.
I do know my stuff as network engineer, your device just randomly stops and starts its own dhcp server, it takes minutes to get back a connection which considering what it does, I'm Jack's complete lack of surprise, this is such a poor disappointing narrow minded unprofessional design.
There's not much evolution from a firmware pov either, either your firmware update proc doesn't work and can't catch more recent firmwares or the last one available ia years ago.
Seriously if you come up with a design that's flawed, at least let users disable it and / or deliver new firmwares that solve the problem...
How many more posts from x users are gonna be necessary to get your head out of the sand here?

@RichardUk Hello,
Here is a thread we just posted recently, which explains why there is a built-in DHCP server in the powerline extender:

@Steve001 Hello,
Thanks for your feedback, I also created a ticket/ email for your case to better follow up on your case.
In some cases the issue happens randomly, (not just after router reboot or power outage) it could a different issue. Please help confirm some case details in the email so our seniors could help with some debug, thank you for your understanding~
