Please ensure that the 5GHz wifi led is on; and you can login to the web UI of the VR400 to confirm whether the 5GHz wireless broadcasting is enabled or not.

And your client should support 5GHz as well. 

 

You can hard reset the VR400 and reconfigure it to give it a go also.

@Kevin_Z my router also not shown 5ghz wifi. i already update the firmware, reset the router, still it won shown. can you help me

I confirm to face the same identical issue:

- 5GHz band

- No other wifi ssid/signals (checked with wifi scanner)

- different client devices

- different wifi standards (a, n, ac)

- different band (auto, 20MHz, 40MHz, 80MHz)

 

always the ssid is only sometimes visible, many times auto authentication fails, few times connection is extablished.

I see online that this is a common issue so i guess it's FW problem.

Please solve, VR400 without 5GHz is not worth the money.

 

If using 2.4GHz band, everything works like charm.

I'm also having this issue. It worked for a bit and then suddenly stopped. I did a factory reset for my router and it started working, but then it stopped again! 

 

I'm really regretting buying this router

Même problème pour moi.

La bande 5Ghz est bien activée, SSID diffusé, canal auto

Le firmware est dit à jour.

 

Autre question : sur l'interface d'admin, le français n'est pas proposé dans l'onglet langue. Mais après un redémarrage, l'onglet est toujours sur anglais et la page s'affiche en français !

Bonjour,

 

J'ai réussi à récupérer le wifi 5 Ghz hier soir en téléchargeant le dernier firmware (0.6.0 0.9.1 v0070.0 Build 200713 Beta.34548n ) et en l'installant.

Dès que la mise à jour du firmware a été terminée, le wifi 5 Ghz est apparu et j'ai pu m'y connecter depuis mon pc et mes smartphones compatibles.

 

Pour la langue d'affichage, le français n'est pas encore disponible (version pas terminée) d'après la hotline, c'est mon PC qui fait la traduction automatique.

Where did you get version 200713 from? 

On tp link site there is only 200706 with date 28-06-2020.

Be careful, I'm talking about hardware version TWO (V2)

ensuite aprèsa avoir séléctionné la V2 matérielle, aller sir Firmware

J'ai téléchargé la version 2020 qui s'est ensuite mise à jour seule.
