Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 170719

Hey guys.

I configured my routers as switches many times in the past and this never happened before.

Configuration as such:

disabled DHCP server

Enabled DHCP relay to ISP router (have to use it)

Changed VR's IP to outside the DHCP pool

Connected a cable from the ISPs router to one of the ports in the VR400.

Now when i plug a cable from the VR400 to a laptop or use the WiFi it is transmitting i get 1/4 of the speed i do than if i connect directly to the ISP router (Ethernet and WiFi)

This has never happened to me before, is there any setting in the Archer that may cause this?

My debugging so far on the VR400 was:

Disabled Firewall

Disabled QoS

All new and multiple cables for everything

Reboot

Any ideas what i can do?

Thank you

@Q_Master

So the Archer VR400 works as an access point and the current problem is that the speed becomes slower than before. We will do some troubleshooting to narrow it down and try to fix it.

1. Who is your ISP and what is the bandwidth you paid?

2. With computer connected to the VR400 by wired cable or wireless, please run the speed test and show us the results.

3. Meanwhile, with your computer connected to the VR400, please click here to get the wired/wireless negotiation speed.

Note: Steps are the same, while you need click ethernet connection.

4. Please connect your computer to the main router and repeat steps 2 & 3 and show us the results.

5. Please ensure that  the firmware of VR400 is up to date.

6. Besides, you can hard reset it and reconfigure it to give it a go.

Good day.
