Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0070.0 Build 170719 Rel.63031n

I dont know if I am missing something really obvious, but I have got OpenVPN up and running, really easy, great.

But I cannot access any devices on my home network (I thought the whole point of a VPN!) I have selected 'Internet and Home Network' on the OpenVPN setup page, and otherwise used the default settings. I can however use my home internet from the client device.

What have I missed?!

@jpuk

Hi there, sorry to jump in on this but was hoping that one of you may be able to assist me with something similar. I'm looking to purchase the VR400 v2 to replace a BT HH6.

One of the reasons is because I want to be able to put a VPN onto the router to protect my two son's Xboxes online and I understand that the best way to do this is to have a router that has the OpenVPN protocol. All of the searching I have done so far suggests that the VR400 v2 only supports L2TP for VPNs, where as the new (not yet released) v3 will have OpenVPN support.

So, when I saw your post about being able to get OpenVPN up and running on v2 I was wondering if I have missed something.

Apologies up front as I am only now coming into the 'jungle' of network terminology so I'm still trying to understand a lot of this.

Thanks,

Phil.
