Cannot connect to internet, nor get the router to accept firmware update
I have repeatedly tried to get my VR300 to link to the internet.....it never gets past the Connection Test...and gives me Error no 1. I am in NZ and am using Spark vdsl. I have no problem linking to the internet (via the same cable) with my Asus DSL AC68U. I have tried this on the VR300 numerous times and it always fails at the same point.
I thought that if I updated the firmware manually, that the issue might be resolved. However the modem will not accept firmware version 1.2 - which when I download it looks to be be V1_181214 and not version 1.2.
I am not impressed and deeply annoyed at what should be a simple process. What am I missing?
