Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have recently changed my router to an Archer VR600 V2 model.

This router is supposed to give speeds up 1300MB on the 5GHz band, but when I check the connection properties on Windows, it is only saying 866Mb.

Is there a setting I'm missing, or is it a Windows thing?

That makes sense...

When I checked the MIMO, it was a 2x2 one as you predicted, which would explain the speed I was seeing.

Thanks for the tip.

@CorrsTJ There are at least two possible reasons:

- One is your own computer, not many devices support WiFi links of 1300Mbps, they would need a 3x3 MIMO antenna (max 1300 Mbps) , and most have just 2x2 MIMO (max 867 Mbps). Check the specifications of your computer or wireless network card.

- The other is the environment, of course, device and router negotiate a reliable speed, maybe the distance / interferences / electromagnetic environment don't allow them to negotiate a faster link. But my bet is your computer's network card not having the needed specs.
