[SOLVED] how to downgrade VR600 v2.0
Hi, everbody.
I have been searching how to downgrade VR600 v2.0 firmware
Finally i learnt a solution. I know lots of people has same problem that's why i want to share it with you.
1- Download beta firmware from http://support.tp-link.com/f/a9365b0cc4/?dl=1
2- Download firmware which you want to downgrade.
3- Turn off wi-fi adapter.
4- Unplug dsl cable or phone line (whichever you use..)
5- Make a connection to modem by cable
6- Update firmware with a file you downloaded first ( http://support.tp-link.com/f/a9365b0cc4/?dl=1 ) i loaded twice because first time it didn't load properly. After loading properly it returns to sing in page.
7- Now you can load a firmware whatever you want.
I had NL version by this program, i have returned to 2020 version. For other users i tried to downgrade 2017 version, it worked. i perefer to use 2020 version.
Please after finishing downgrade, let me know.
Good Luck.

Hi, May I know why do you want to downgrade the firmware?
There is a new firmware for Archer VR600 V2 and maybe you could consider updating the firmware:
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200628/Archer_VR600(AU)V2_200624.zip
https://static.tp-link.com/2021/202103/20210318/Archer_VR600(EU)V2_210318.zip
Thank you very much.

Because I have a problem with WiFi connection when using it in access point mode, clients get self assigned IPs most of the time and some times they work fine. Also it's a beta firmware which I found out after upgrading, so I think there should be an option to be able to downgrade to the last stable firmware.

@Dvirf Hello,
Official firmware could fix more than one minor issues, and beta firmware need to pass several rounds of testing before the final release unless it's an emergency fix. That means the beta is still on the test stage and test time is quite uncertain..please keep an eye on the router firmware online update or our official websites.
Thank you for your patience.
