Model: RE450
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20190124 Rel. 56886

Dear all,

I have a wifi extender RE450, HD version V3 and the firmware 1.0.1 Build 20190124 Rel. 56886.

The extender is located only 8-10 meters away from the router and both devices are conected by wifi.

I installed the extender with a simple set up using the password of the router and an EXT SSID.

The test of connection quality and location shows a "perfect location" and the signal is excellent.

I am using the extender with my laptop with the wifi and being 4 meters away from the extender and the signal is excellent.

But 10 times a day, the extender looses the connection. Sometimes it restablishes the connection automatically and sometimes I have to disconnect from the sub network and reconnect.

It is very annoying especially nowdays that I work from home and allday long doing profesionnal video calls.

How can I solve these frequent disconnections?

Do you need more info to better understand my issue?

Please help!

Many Thanks

@ES_user Please help to confirm the following informaiton, then I can provide further help.

When the issue happens,

1. what's the LED status on RE650?

2. What's the IP&Gateway of your Phone when connected to router and RE650 wifi respectively?

One more thing, What's the model No. of your wireless router? It's the router name on its label, it's helpful if you could provide a picture of this label.

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin, thanks for your help.

You mention a RE650 model but my extender is the RE450.

1. Led status when disconnection occurs : it is off when a disconnection occurs.

2. IP&Gateway on phone : how do you get it?

3. Enclosed picture of the router model. Wifi Router provided by Spanish national teleco operator called Telefonica.

Thanks

@ES_user I have checked some information about this router.

Here are some suggestion for this.

1. Please disable the band steering on your router.

2. Get RE450 close to your router to ensure good signal.
