Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20200402 rel.52000(4555)

I just installed my new Archer C6 and the Internet port shows 100mb/s when it should show 1000mb/s. How can i fix that? Have already tried setting up 1000mb/s duplex in the system parameters section.

I have the same Problem , the internet port speed should show 1000Mbps full duplex link but it shows 100Mbps full Duplex. If i connect a LAN cable to my laptop, the LAN speed shows 1000Mbps which is strange.

Please see below screen shot.

Firmware Version :- 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591(4555)

Hardware Version :- Archer C6 v2.0

I am not sure where is the issue

Please help to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Rama

@Ramachandran

IMHO this is a FW glitch:

On LAN2 the device has been shutdown.

On LAN2 the device has been turned on.

Hello, thank you for asking, can I have the model of your modem, which is connected to the C6 WAN/Internet port? What if you plug the modem directly to a PC with the same cable, will it link at 1000Mbps?

BTW, how long is the cable between the C6 and the modem? Try a shorter cat5e or cat6 cable, thanks.

@Ivaylo Hi, do you mean when the device connected to the LAN port if powered off, it then shows 100Mbps on the router web GUI? What kind of devices connected to the LAN2? Does it behave like this no matter what kind of devices connected? Thanks.

Yes, that's what I've meant. It's actually 10 Mbit/s when the PC ( http://global.shuttle.com/products/productsSpec?productId=1628 ) is off. When turned on, it shows 1000 Mbit/s as it should be. Will try to connect my laptop by cable to see if that persists.

On another occasion (I observed this once only) at LAN1 it showed 100 Mbit/s while it should be 1000 Mbit/s. Simple unplug/plug of the LAN cable (15 meters) fixed that.

Thank you very much for this valued info. Please kindly help confirm if this always shows 10 Mbit/s when another PC or laptop is connected to the LAN port.

BTW, are you using cat5e or cat6 cable between the C6 and the PC?

OK, tested with different ethernet cables (CAT5e/6) few times - it persists.

When I've connected my laptop (by cable to the same LAN2 port), then it was OK. When laptop is shutdown the status is disconnected.

I believe it's more related to the device type (connected to the LAN port) than the cable itself.

For example:

On the other LAN ports: LAN3 and LAN4 I have a Smart TV and another PC connected.

The issue there is just that when they are off/shutdown the status says "connected" at speed 100 Mbps(speed is correct).

I am not sure if that can be related, but I have WoL enabled on both PCs (LAN2, LAN3 ports).

To summarize C6 related issues you can take a look and add to the list this and this thread which stay unattended.

I've exact same problem using AC5400, v2 with latest firmware. I'm using Unifi 300Mbps package. there is no problem using Unifi supplied Dlink router, but with TPlink, it can only connect with 100Mbps

when change the system parameter to 1000mbps, full duplex, then TPlink show internet cable not connected, even after trying multiple Cat 6 wire, still same

some help would be helpful, else I'll have to sell TP-link and buy other brand

How many LAN ports on the ISP provided modem? You can check if there is any difference with those ports. We do receive some feedback that there are different types of LAN ports on the modem, some are 100Mbps, and some are 1000Mbps. BTW, what is the model number of the modem?
