Model: Archer TX3000E
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I have recently purchased a TX3000E pcie card along with a AX6000 router. However, my pcie card does not seem to connect past 1.2Gbps when my old Asus ac66 had no issues at 1.3gbps. Being on the new AX I would expect faster connection speeds up to the 2.4gbps as advertised.

I am in direct line of sight to the router and only 6-8m between my PC and the router.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hello everyone,

If you also experience TX3000E ( upload)  speed slow issue, please make sure you've tried the Intel latest driver here:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/189347/wireless/intel-wireless-products/intel-wi-fi-6-series/intel-wi-fi-6-ax200-gig.html#drivers-software

If the issue occurs on certain Wi-Fi band 2.4Ghz/5Ghz, please try a different 2.4Ghz/5Ghz channel on router

Download Wi-Fi analyzer app or software and choose a less crowded wifi channel for the router, 5Ghz recommended channels : 36/40/44/48

If the above does not , please help confirm some details here:

May I know does the issue particularly happen on 2.4Ghz/ 5Ghz band?

Please let us know your computer motherboard information & adapter driver date as this FAQ:  https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

Please share a photo of the speed test results on TX3000E adapter and on a different device (at the same location)

Check the Wi-Fi link speed on computer: (How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client ) https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2899/

Please also let us know the model of your router, and the channels you've tried. Thank you.

@Kathy_Z I have the same problem where the download speed is about 400Mbps and upload speed is only 0.68Mbps. I have used this adapter on my PC for like 4 months and then this problem happens. I also have a wifi adapter on my motherboard but I prefer to have a wifi 6 adapter on my pc so I disable the mainboard wifi. When I turn it back on, the upload speed back to the regular speed that my house provides.

Any suggestions for this situation? (I cannot change the wifi adapter settings)

@HieuChu

May I know the operating system of your computer? Windows 10? You may try to update the driver to be 22.0 then monitor the connection again:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29902/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters?product=189347

If this doesn't help, please follow the instruction below to check the wireless negotiation speed on the computer when connected to your router's 5GHz signal:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/

It is also suggested changing the router's 5GHz band channel to 36,40,44, channel width to be 80MHz to check again the speed.

@shaytoon21 @Roseaux

Have you tried my previous suggestions to HieuChu?

BTW, what is the bandwidth you have from the internet provider? You may connect the computer directly to the router or modem, test the speed by speedtest.

Has this issue been resolved? I recently also bought an Archer TX3000E and while the download speed is fine (>500Mbps), upload is abysmal (~5Mbps). My phone which is in the same room gets >100Mbps upload speeds. I updated the driver as recommended and ensured router is using proper channels for 5G that my TX3000E is connected to but the upload is still abysmal. Is the card faulty? Should I ask for a replacement? Or is there anything else I can do?

@Solla-topee  Hello,

Thanks for responding to an old thread. I have installed the driver you sent over but unfortunatelly there was no improvement and my upload is still <10 Mbps (and >100 on other devices.

Regarding your other questions:

- It happens on 5Ghz band. I have 2 other devices connected to it in the same room and they do not have this issue.

- My motherboard is ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS but I could not find the driver version. If instead you meant the TX3000E driver. It is 22.70.0.6 (although in my device manager, unlike in your FAQ, my TX3000E is labelled as Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz

- I checked the link speed as advised and it is 866.7Mbps.

- I did try other 5Ghz channels but it did not help, and as mentioned this is not the problem on any other device. My router is BT Smart Hub 2.

Let me know if you need any extra information. Do you think the problem is with the TX3000E or the computer. Should I ask for a replacement?
