Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.4 Build 20200512 rel.51608

I'm from Bangladesh.This is second post about this problem because after latest update tplink doesn't solve the problem. All my apple device easily detect the 5ghz wifi while none of my Android device showing 5ghz wifi. As I research on this fact I found that most of the Android phone in Bangladesh working only band 4 of 5ghz which is 149 to later. And my phone also working 153 channel. I check it by installating Operwrt (a custom firmware) in Archer c6. Then I changed the region us and channel 153 all my Android  device along with apple device showing the 5ghz. So my question is to the developers when you people fix this problem? A lot of people posted here from Bangladesh about this problem and didn't take a proper action about this. Even you guys have no idea about frequency that support in Bangladesh region?

All dual band router from tplink support only band 1 but why? If you can't survey on a country why do you business to this country?

Sell your product where they fully compatible.

@Mmahazad

Hello, may I know what is the region version of your Archer C6, please?

If it is the EU version, we are sorry that it only supports band 1 for the 5GHz, which is designed to comply with that of CE regulation.

If all of your Android devices can only work with 5GHz band 4, you need to get the US version, so it is suggested to contact your reseller to replace it with a US version if it is still running the TP-Link official firmware.

Hope this makes sense and thanks for your understanding. Have a nice day.

@Mmahazad

Based on my knowledge, we have both EU and US versions shipped to Bangladesh, or at least we provided these two options for the local distributors, but it is their own decision which one they will sell. I'm afraid we cannot help you with that.

BTW, you mentioned there are 'A lot of people posted here from Bangladesh about this problem and didn't take a proper action about this', may I know the details? Maybe we will feedback to the related department and they may have some other clue for this.

Hi,

Unfortunately no, we cannot flash the US firmware into an EU version, which will brick or damage the router.
