Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 build 20200709 rel. 46606

Hello all

So, I originally installed a TP-Link Deco X60 Mesh Wi-fi system in our house with just the 3 X60 Deco...For some reason in our home, there is severe interference of some sort, 2 of the X60 would constantly disconnect (red blinking light, not the app issue).

So, I added a few of my older TP-link decos in such as 2 W2400, 1 M3R, 2 M3W to fill in dead spots. Probably not the best idea, I am guessing but this helped the Deo's stablize themselves.

I had the infamous deco showing offline issue and upgraded the 3 x60 to the 1.2.5 July 2020 build and that fixed the issue for the 3 x60's showing offline.

Now, the w2400 will show disconnected in the mobile app. I will click on the Deco (say living room, where I have a W2400) and click refresh and then it will spin for a bit and show online. This seems to constantly happen.

Is there a new firmware coming out for the W2400 to fix this? Anyone else running a mixed Wifi6 and wifi 5 decos seeing issues?

I don't want to run so many in the house, but I get consistent speeds around the house with the older ones, but did not with just the 3 X60.

Any advice appreciated!

@KayCee

Hello, thanks for bringing this up.

1. What is the current network diagram? So there are 3 X60s, 2 W2400, 1 M3R, 2 M3W in the same mesh network?

2. What is the LED status of the W2400 when it shows offline on the Deco app? How about the M3R and M3W, are they behaving the same? How about the 3 X60s, are they always stable?

Below are some suggestions you may give it a go.

1. Relocate the Deco nodes.

2. Swap the locations of the satellite Decos, reduce some Decos in the network.

3. Ensure the firmware of all Decos is up to date.

May it help and have a nice day.
