Hello, I have 2 x RE305 extenders and I get a 'weak security' warning when connected through them. I have updated my router and when connected via the router the warning is no longer there, only when connected to the tp link extender. I have updated the tether app and it is still happening? Any idea how I can get rid of this and how serious is it that when I'm connected to the extender it constantly says 'weak security'. Any help would be appreciated.

I need firmware update for RE500 range extender as it's also suffering from weak security issue.

Hi, thanks for your kind reply.
Currently, there is no beta firmware for the RE500.
We have already reported this feedback to the senior engineers for further evaluation.
Since this model is a little bit old, it would take quite a long time to get the beta firmware.

@TP-Link and what about the original topic of this thread: what about a (beta) firmware update for RE305 v1 (EU)? do you have an ETA for a release date? thanks

@TP-Link Dear Support, is there any solution (a usable firmware) for the RE350 similarly to the RE450 which solves the 'Weak Security' problem? I have left some days from the return period of my RE350 product. Hence, please let me know the expected release date of an appropriate fix of the firmware.

I am sorry that there is no beta firmware for RE350 yet, RE305 v1 either.
If it is still during the return period, it would be much better to change a different model.
