Archer C6 AP Mode DHCP bug + UI bugs
Hello,
I just freshly installed, and upgraded latest FW on an Archer C6 - I run it in AP mode, connected behind a multi-WAN router (TP-Link TL-R600VPN) which takes care of NAT, DHCP, filtering, traffic management and everything else.
So I disabled the DHCP server on the C6 and set up its LAN to get the IP from DHCP (served by R600). So far, it works, but it refreshes the IP every 32 seconds, as can be seen in R600's syslog:
Interestingly enough, there is nothing at all in C6's syslog.
The DHCP lease time on the R600 was set to 1440 minutes but setting it to the default of 120 or any other value did not help. And it also only happens with C6, no other connected device refreshes its lease prematurely.
The cable is, of course, connecting C6's WAN port to one of R600's LAN ports.
Another two issues that I found are in the UI:
The first one is that the network mask is displayed incorrectly in this mode (AP mode, LAN set to DHCP) - it says everywhere (Status screen and LAN config page) that the mask is 255.255.255.0 (/24) while mine is 255.255.252.0 (/22), In the syslog, however, the mask is logged correctly, so I believe it is solely a UI problem (otherwise I wouldn't see part of my network which I do):
(BTW, you can see here that the currently set lease time of 120 minutes (7200s) is received correctly by the C6)
And the last issue is on the Status screen - in AP mode (I have not tested it Router mode) it does not display any clients. All the tables - Wired Clients, Wireless Host Clients and Guest Clients show zero records all the time, despite devices being connected to all of these.
This is quite frustrating as I need to be able to see the connected devices, at least the wireless clients, and the wireless network they are connected to (main or guest).
Could you please address these issues in the next release of the C6 v2 firmware?
Thank you in advance.
