Good day.
RE650 V2 supported OneMesh, V1 does not;
For the rest of the features, they are almost the same.
Thank you very much.

Hello everyone.
Thank you for being in tp-link range extender and OneMesh feature.
Q1: Where to purchase RE650 V2?
The sales status or product stock status could vary in different regions and areas.
It is recommended to double-check with retailer side and see if they could help check the hardware version of device before ship the device to you.
From at the bottom section of TP-Link website, you could find Where-to-Buy, there lists some tp-link authorized resellers and distributors.
Q2: Difference between RE650 V2 vs RE655 V2:
RE655V2 and RE650 V2 basically the same on software features and hardware specs.
RE655 V2 is customized version and use a customized language i.e.RE655 (DE) version uses German as software language., RE650 V2 software is English.
If you have a tp-link OneMesh router and wish to build OneMesh, RE655 V2/ RE650 V2 supports OneMesh, RE650 V1 does not yet, please always refer to updated OneMesh Comparability list here:

@TP-Link Your website doesn't distinguish well between V1 and V2. I just bought an RE650 from Amazon (via a link on this website) because your website says it's OneMesh compatible. However Amazon delivered the V1, which doesn't have OneMesh.
Is it more than just a software update? Do I need to return my V1 or will an update be available?

Good day,
It is more than a software update and currently there is no plan to support OneMesh on the RE650 v1.
But I am curious that where you can see it is OneMesh compatible on the website and can I have some pictures or links?
It would be much better to return V1 for v2 if OneMesh is needed.
Thank you very much!

The OneMesh support for RE650 is visible on the global website. If you go to OneMesh supported devices list, the RE650 is listed there. Also, in the RE650 support materials, the user guide for V2 mentions OneMesh support.
I would like to ask, where can the RE650 V2 be actually bought? I called a few larger stores in my country searching for V2 version. Finally, I called the TP-Link of my country (Poland) and they said, it's probably a preview of a product which is yet to come. Could you shed some light for us on this case? I would really like to buy the V2 version. However, it seems impossible, and I'll probably step back to RE550, which provides OneMesh functionality.

@TP-Link why did they make 2 versions of the same thing? I am sure there is business rationale.
to the untrained eye they are the same, DE amazon sells one and French amazon the other.
i tried so hours to update one to onemesh before realising it was pointless.
easy to say return and get the other, but I personally do online shopping so I do not need to leave the house. In essence it was just I lost time . So I had to bin them both unfortunately

Unfortunately it seems impossible to get the V2 in the uk - all the usual online suspects only sell the V1 and I'm looking for the Onemesh support. It's bad enough that their top of the range VDSL AC2800 doesn't support it, but TP-Link really seem to be dropping the ball on Onemesh

@TP-Link Can we just get a link to where we can buy the RE650 V2? I am not interested in V1

@ChecksOut I contacted TP-Link and asked exactly that question and they pointed me to the Amazon listing - where lots of reviews and answers to questions are complain8ng that they're still getting V1. I also contacted Ebuyer - who are behind the listing - and they said they couldn't tell me which version they are currently supplying. Not easy, is it..
