Interface Grouping disappears after latest firmware upgrade
Hi,
I'm using an Archer V2 VR600 AC1600 modem router. With the default firmware (Archer_VR600V2_0.2.0_0.9.1_up_boot(170504)_2017-05-04_18.46.12), interface groups can be created however with the latest firmware available (Archer_VR600V2_0.4.0_0.9.1_up_boot(200701)_2020-07-01_19.51.00), the option to create interface groups disappears.
Any chance a new version of the firmware can be released that reinstates the grouping option?
Thanks,
Anthony

Hi, have you tried to restore it to the factory default settings to confirm again? Is it working as a wireless router mode or DSL modem router?
If yes, please kindly show us the screenshot of the Network menus, then we will confirm this with the developers, thanks a lot.

Hi @Kevin_Z,
I have tried resetting back to factory defaults with the new firmware installed with no success. The only way I could get the interface grouping option back in the menu was to reinstall the original firmware (Archer_VR600V2_0.2.0_0.9.1_up_boot(170504)_2017-05-04_18.46.12.bin). After the reboot with that firmware installed, the option reappears.
Unfortunately, I cannot do a screenshot with it now as the router is fully configured and in use on the original firmware with interface groups in use. To reinstall firmware Archer_VR600V2_0.4.0_0.9.1_up_boot(200701)_2020-07-01_19.51.00 would break my network. I do recall however that with the newest firmware, it is just the Interface Groups option that is missing under the Advanced -> Network menu
I'm using the router in DSL Modem mode. It would however be nice to have the latest firmware installed but as it stands, I cannot do that without losing functionality.
Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Anthony, thanks for getting back.
We will soon report this to the R&D, we will ask them to add this back, while this may take some time, we hope you keep the original firmware on your VR600 as a workaround.
Thank you again for your cooperation.
