Firmware Version: 1.0.17

Hi all.

I have recently changed my smartphone.

On my Samsung A21s I have set the app to work without battery optimization, so that it is not put on standby.

But the app doesn't send notifications when the display is off.

As soon as I wake up the display, all the notifications from the app arrive.

In this way, the camera is unusable!

Hi, as far as I can tell, this issue may be related to the Android settings, as you can check there are a lot of users complaining about this notification delay or non-existing issue, such as:

As you also mentioned, this issue begin when you changed the phone, so can you please confirm if you have the same issue on an iPhone? You may try to check this on an iOS.

Thanks for your answer.
I've been on the phone with phone assistance for a whole day and tried everything, even with a remote connection.
According to assistance, the app needs to be updated to the new Android version.
Keep in mind that all the other apps that need to stay running and send notifications (mail, IM, remote heating control) work perfectly.

Understood. The Tapo app will be updated regularly, which will update with the latest android patches, so no worries, you will get a new version soon, just keep an eye on your phone.

 

BTW, we have reported the issue to the support engineers, they will likely reach out to you via email to continue to analyze this issue.
