Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.4.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 201104 Beta.44197n

Hi,

Every few weeks, all devices on our local network are disconnected from the WiFi. When you try to log back onto the network, all devices say that the saved password, which has always worked and has not been changed, is now incorrect. When trying to type it in manually, devices take a long time trying to connect, then eventually show "Incorrect Password".

This has happened mutliple times with this router, on every device on the network (iOS mobile devices, laptops, TVs, desktops). We have a desktop PC connected through ethernet, and whenever this happens that device is connected to the network (over ethernet) but cannot access the internet.

The only way to fix this when it happens is to unplug the router (can't log into the admin panel as we can't get on the WiFi), then once it's restarted, go round manually reconnecting each device to the network.

I've tried updating the firmware and changing the WiFi settings, but seeing as a hardwired PC also cannot connect when this happens I don't think it's a WiFi issue.

Anyone seen this before or have any idea by it's happening?

Thanks

@bmechen

When this issue happens, all the devices fail to access the internet, including the wired and wireless? Are you able to ping the VR600, how about ping www.google.com?

Please check and confirm is the internet light on the VR600 still correctly on or flashing when the internet stops.

It is suggested to reset the modem to factory defaults, then reconfigure it from scratch to confirm.

BTW, how often does this issue happen? Are there any special operation or activity in the network may caused this?
