Model: TL-PA7010 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi there,

A fews years back I bought a TP-PA7010 2.0 and TP-WPA7510 1.0 as a kit to provide an additional strong wired connection to another room in our house. Recently after reorganizing we need a new power line adaptor to add another wireless signal to the other end of the apartment.

I was wondering if I would need to purchase a new WPA7510 specifically or whether there were other TP link powerline adaptors that would also work with what I have? I dont want to replace either of what I currently have as they work so well, but I do need another extender and thought about getting an updated version or different model.

Thanks!

Bogo

@Bogomip

Hey

The TP-PA7010 is an AV2 standard plug rated at 1000mbps, therefore it should be compatible with any of the 1000 or higher plugs as they use the AV2 standard also.

If you want faster wifi the TL-WPA8630P  should work fine, its a 1300mbps plug but will work with your setup

As said really anything 1000mbps or faster will work, your choice smiley

I would recommend to not mix vendors however, stick with TP Link plugs

Hi Philbert,

Thanks so much for your solution - I will go with the one you suggested, it looks better than the ones we have and its been a great system for us (after having old TP-LInk powerline stuff that was bad, these have been waaay better).

Thanks again,

Bogo
