Hi.

My modem router VR2100 disconnects from the internet very often, is it the internet provider or router's fault?

Previously, I was using a ISP supplied modem / router and there weren't as many disconnects, but they did happen, but not so often.

On a log file it state as:

Original MAC Address I marked as [-MAC Address-]

And next is just with connection successful and authentication successful.

All back to normal.

Is possible to deduce this is ISP fault?

Thanks.

@Goral

Hello, as per the log you attached, it seems the DSL line is not stable, as you can see the DSL Link Down then training, it is suggested to confirm with the ISP and ensure the line is stable. BTW, who is your ISP? Do you mean the internet is more stable when using the ISP supplied modem? You may compare the system log on both modems, then check the DSL Link Down frequency.

@Kevin_Z

I don't know if I have access to the log's on ISB device.

I haven't been using their router since I bought this one ~2 months.

I can connect EE Hub and just check if is any log there.

My ISP is EE.

But all network is under BT Openrich.

I understand that. You may check with EE first, ensure the line is stable on their side, or you can connect their modem back and check the connection, if that is not stable as well, contact them to seek some suggestions.

Have a nice day.
