Model: TD-W9970
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.0.0.9.1

Hi everyone. I have recently purchased a TP-Link TD-W9970 v4. When trying to setup the DMZ and PPTP server to work concurrently the following errors come up on the screen.

error 4633 - the current setting conflict with the Internet access of the PPTPVPN service.

error 4624 - function conflict with the DMZ host

In the meant time I have just learned error 4624 also comes up when trying to enable remote management (with DMZ enabled).

I haven't encountered this sort of problems with other routers. Any clues?

Regards, J.

@julianp

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.

If you want to set up a PPTP VPN Server on the W9970, please kindly refer to the below instructions to verify the settings on it, ensure the client IP address is in a different IP subnet:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1751/

This is a guidance to configure the remote management on the modem, you may have a reference also:

Hi Kevin and thank you for your reply. I was/am aware of all the links you have mentioned. Yes, the VPN and DMZ (router) are on different subnets, 172.xxx.xxx.xxx and 010.xxx.xxx.xxx. It must be someting else. It looks like there is something wrong within the TD-W9970 firmware/software.
