Energy Consumption Value Jumps (KP115)
Model KP115 (not listed on the models on this forum!)
Hi,
I recently bought two KP115 plugs with energy monitoring here in Australia. I already have 6 HS110 plugs. The new plugs seem to be jumping daily Energy Consumption values and it is predictable. My device uses around 30kWh a day so this happens twice a day. 1st when it reaches 8.2kWh it jumps to 16.4kWh then again from 24.5kWh to 32.8kWh.

Why is this happening?

Hi,
It didn't work. I don't think the software knows about this plug.
I followed the instruction file and checked the KASA app and it's not updated.
I checked the config file and it only mentions HS100 and HS110. No mention of KP115 for AU.

Hi,
Could you please try to change the following information on the config file:
"support_list":"KP115(UK)V1",
"model":"KP115(UK)",
Change all the UK to AU to have a test;
Thanks and wait for your reply.

@TP-Link I was thinking of doing that but was afraid I might brick it then because TP-Link suggested it, I did and it seems to be fixed! Thanks

@NaduK Hi Naduk, I'm new to all this but am wanting to view consumption over time from my KP115, just like you have, can you point me in the right direction to collect those same logs? Is it a third party app?
much appreciated

@Jkuc003 Hi, I am using Home Assistant and Grafana to get those graphs. There is a bit of a learning curve to that but if you can get through very rewarding. Hope that puts you in the right direction.
