Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 210313 Rel.74106n

I'd prefer to use one SSID and password for both networks so my devices can automatically switch to the strongest. Does anyone know if the VR2800 support a combined 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal?

If it doesn't which one is the best signal for people to use?

@apacheuk

Hi, if all your devices supported 5ghz, leave the 5ghz would be best;

If not, you could try to name the same SSID and password for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz;

Thank you very much.

Hi everyone, I am in Italy, I bought for about a year both an Archer VR600v (Firmware: Archer_VR600v (IT) _V2_190128 Beta, released on 2019-02-13) and shortly after the passage of the line in FTTC at 200 Mb I bought il VR2800v (Firmware: Archer_VR2800v (IT) _V1_191011 Beta, released on 2019-10-11) On the Italian site it is strongly recommended not to use firmware from sites in other countries, due to possible and unpredictable behavior if firmware optimized for other countries . I do not have strange behaviors from both devices that work very well, and it is known that there are small problems to be fixed, which in any case (at least for me) do not put the devices in serious usability (If you do not need to use the QOS!) In particular, both devices suffer severely if QOS is enabled, with unpredictable effects on the behavior even of the line connection that drops to bring the line to the block in certain cases, that to make it go it must be disabled, if then they enable both QOS and DDOS protection, after a few minutes the modems literally crash and you have to do a reset to enter the configuration parameters again. If these two parameters are not enabled, the modems do not have big problems and work very well without great difficulties apart from some small loss of Wi-Fi in some cases which lasts about 30 seconds alternating between 2400Ghz and 5Ghz. Given that the problems have not been resolved for some time, and we are at the Beta version in both cases, and also seen The end of production of the VR2800v when the final version at least for the VR2800v? Thanks for your kind reply
